The idea
The ordering half of the restaurant problem: a persistent cart, category tabs, veg and spice filters, a combo builder, coupon codes and a sticky bar that becomes the running order total.
A sit-down restaurant sells a reservation; a fast-food brand sells the order itself. Same industry, opposite site — which made it the right test of whether the donor architecture could bend that far without being rewritten.
How we are building it
Checkout deliberately stops at a single route rather than integrating a payment provider, because every quick-service client already has a POS or an aggregator and the one thing they will not do is change it. The template's job is to reach that boundary cleanly and stop.
What is being built
- A persistent cart and a sticky mobile bar showing the live total
- Category tabs plus vegetarian and spice filters
- A combo builder and coupon codes
- Checkout posting to one route, then handing off to the client's POS
- Seven palette presets, from fried chicken to bubble tea
